This week I have another few photos from the new camera to share. I recently acquired a new lens, again not new, but new to me. Moving to a full frame camera I knew I was going to be short on lenses with any reach. Unfortunately, lenses in the 70-200m range are both very expensive and very big and heavy. I had a few options that would suit my needs, and luckily found a good second-hand Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 lens in my price range.
My new baby is both very pretty and very large and heavy. It seems to do a pretty impressive job though. The day after it arrived I decided to give it a bit of a test run with the kids. Aside from needing to do some wrist strengthening to hold it for long periods, it is pretty impressive. The focus is super-fast and accurate and I’m liking the pictures I’m getting from it, very sharp and lovely colours. So for now, here are a few of my favourite kiddy photos for the week.
Soren – 2 years 7 months.
Butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth, you wouldn’t know this was the end of two weeks of horrid gastro!
Astrid and Soren – they can be cute when they want to be.
They were off hunting for dandelions!
Astrid – 4 years 11 months, practicing her dancing!
Soren – yes he has the stare intently at the camera, model pose down pat!
Astrid – helping me test the lens focus by running up and down the paddock.
I couldn’t tell until I looked at the photos on my computer that she has her tongue out in every single one of them. She said ‘but Mum, I always run with my tongue out’. The things you learn!
When did Soren get so grown up?!
He looks at least a year older than the last time I saw him (which can only have been a month ago?!)
Looking very grown up all of a sudden! He is 2.5 so defnitely not a baby any more.
No more baby there.
just mischievous toddler
Beautiful photos
