Last week, when we ventured down to Lake Burley Griffin to visit the swans and find some cygnets we had an unexpected visitor!  We were near Kingston, home to many swans. As we were chatting to the swans a large pelican can zooming in, right in front of us.

Despite visiting the swans at this location many times, we had never seen this pelican before. He was big, boisterous and a little annoyed we didn’t have any treats for him.  Luckily Anto had the camera handy and just managed to get these shots off. Shame we didn’t get video too!
